ROCKVILLE, MD, September 30, 2014 – In its first major contract supporting the U.S. Army, DSFederal will provide online and classroom learning curriculum development and delivery for the Warrior Transition Command (WTC), a command tasked with the psychological, physical, and professional well-being of returning and deploying soldiers. An eight-person team of training specialists and classroom facilitators will create and deliver a series of online and classroom-led courses to improve the knowledge, skills, and abilities of transition coordination personnel serving WTC’s Career and Education Readiness (CER) branch. CER establishes individually tailored goals for Wounded, Ill, and Injured (WII) soldiers seeking to advance their skill sets either within or beyond the Army. By creating a standardized curriculum for the professional development of CER leaders, WTC aims to bolster quality and consistency in its care to WII soldiers, veterans and families, yielding a streamlined program that would more thoroughly address WII soldiers’ complex and varied needs.
The award marks a significant advance for DSFederal’s Training Programs practice area – one of the company’s most prominent and dynamic offerings. In addition to providing classroom-led course development for FEMA since 2012, the company has expanded its training practice to online, mobile, and simulation-based learning formats that aid professional development for geographically dispersed populations. DSFederal also provides training to the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare (CMS) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and is pleased to now serve the Department of Defense (DoD). Said CEO Sophia Parker, “DSFederal is honored to provide training that will help our country’s bravest to overcome the unique challenges of re-entering civilian life. This project is central to our corporate mission of IDEA: Integrity, Delivering Results, Everyone Matters, and Always Honor our Word. We provide access to critical information that improves health and wellness for U.S. citizens, civilian or military, and all DSFederal employees hold that mission close to their hearts.”
