DSFederal appraised at CMMI Maturity Level 3 for IT Services

ROCKVILLE, MD, DSFederal, Inc. has obtained its Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI-DEV) Maturity Level 3 appraisal. The rating verifies the company’s commitment to quality and process improvement in software development efforts, spanning its Health & Grants Management and IT Solutions departments.The appraisal results from a concentrated, company-wide effort to integrate clearly defined operational standards and project management processes for all software development services. The CMMI Institute, housed at Carnegie-Mellon University, focuses on improving organizational performance to create mature corporate cultures. An outside team of Standard CMMI Appraisal for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) appraisers conducted a nine-day, on-site assessment from October 21 to October 30, which evaluated DSFederal’s compliance with 17 requirements.
