DSFederal wins Head Start Region X customer service improvement project

DSFederal has expanded to the West Coast, providing professional, administrative, and technical support to the Office of Head Start in Seattle, Washington.

The Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Administration for Children and Families (ACF) is at the forefront of federal efforts to serve children and families through high-quality child development, education, health, nutrition, and social service programs. ACF’s Office of Head Start (OHS), which administers the nation’s flagship early learning program across the country, focuses on promoting and increasing the school readiness of children from low-income families through its 12 regional ACF offices. These offices award grants and offer technical assistance to a diverse array of organizations that sponsor child development programs.

DSFederal has vast experience in the use of technology to streamline grants management tasks, from basic data processing software to more sophisticated HHS-specific web-based applications used specifically for grants-tracking and budget-related functions. Beyond its technical abilities, the DSFederal team also has a solid understanding of the mission of the Region X office, the populations it serves, and how OHS programs and grants advance the cause of school readiness across the region every day. The team has a unique ability to recognize how grantees’ needs differ depending on their location within the region, the communities they serve, and the number of children enrolled in the program. The team is ready to provide each grantee with the specific kinds of support necessary to prepare the nation's youth for years of valuable education.
