Rockville, Maryland, June 30, 2017 – GSA has selected DSFederal as an 8(a) industry partner on the STARS II Government-wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC). The STARS II vehicle, a GWAC set-aside for small businesses, allows government agencies to access customized IT services from its 8(a) partners through 2024.
STARS II partners must meet GSA requirements for technical proficiency, and are grouped into Constellation I and Constellation II, which is reserved for 8(a) companies with recognized credentials, such as Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) or International Standards Organization (ISO) certifications. With CMMI-DEV 3 and ISO 9001 certifications, DSFederal is included in the selective Constellation II, which allows the company to receive directed contract awards valued up to $4M. The 8(a) STARS II IDIQ vehicle offers additional opportunities for Federal customers to purchase innovative IT services through DSFederal, while also ensuring continued growth for the company.
DSFederal was also awarded a STARS II GWAC through its FedPoint joint venture with partner TurningPoint Global Solutions. As a JV, FedPoint covers all four functional areas under the STARS II GWAC, providing government customers access to the combined capabilities of both companies.
“We are delighted to have been selected as a STARS II 8 (a) industry partner,” said CEO Sophia Parker. “We have ten years of leading-edge IT and software development experience, and we look forward to continuing to connect the dots for our customers by delivering flexible, innovative, cost-effective IT services through the STARS II vehicle.”
