International photographer Felipe Jacome offers photography workshop for Syrian children

Acclaimed photographer and DSFederal friend Felipe Jacome is offering a photography workshop to Syrian refugee children living in the Jarahiya refugee camp, in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley. This is a self-funded effort, supported by a community of volunteers in Lebanon. Felipe is seeking donations of old camera phones for the children to use. Do you have an old iPhone 4 or Galaxy 3 that you’ll never use again? Put it to good use by donating it to this worthwhile project.

Although cell phones are preferred because they are easier for children to use, Felipe will also accept digital cameras. Donations are needed before Labor Day weekend. When he returns from Lebanon, Felipe will share the young photographers’ work on his website.
