DSFederal was pleased to learn that the “Building Futures: Supporting Youth Living with HIV Technical Assistance Toolkit” that we developed in partnership with Mission Analytics, CAI, and Deborah J. Isenberg Consulting Services will be distributed at the 2018 National Ryan White Conference on HIV Care and Treatment.

The 508-compliant Toolkit, available for download at Target.HIV.gov, offers strategies and resources that providers can use to improve care and outreach efforts targeting Youth Living with HIV/AIDS (YLWH). Built around themes including Clinical Service Models, Infrastructure Development, Program Development, and Wraparound Services, the Toolkit is a beautifully designed full-color publication that is easy to read and use, yet authoritative and comprehensive.

Echo Wang, DSFederal Project Manager, explains that the Toolkit is “very special, because every strategy came from actual experiences we gathered in site visits, and (our strategies were) tested in the field.” She emphasizes the team collaboration that resulted in this singularly useful resource, praising the extensive public health expertise of our teaming partners and the outstanding creative effort by DSFederal’s own Alex Emmerman.

DSFederal has long served the HIV/AIDS Bureau, providing site visit support for PEPFAR-funded clinics under the Global Technical Assistance Program (G-TAP), in addition to site visit and technical assistance support to the Building Futures Program. We are delighted to have contributed to a resource that will improve care and treatment for this especially vulnerable population.
