Maryland General Assembly recognizes DSFederal CEO Sophia Parker

Updated: Jan 8, 2020

Along with several other prominent Asian-American business leaders, DSFederal CEO Sophia Parker was honored by the Maryland General Assembly during a special February 4 evening session. Following passage of a Senate Lunar New Year resolution, Sophia and her fellow honorees received certificates commending their “exemplary leadership and efforts in assisting small business and promoting economic vitality in Maryland.”

Sophia writes “I am very honored to receive this citation from the elected representatives of my home state. Although the Lunar New Year is a time when I honor my Chinese heritage, I am an American—and a Marylander—through and through. I consider it a great privilege to contribute to the economic success of the state that welcomed me when I was new to this country.”
