Quality and process designations, and the management and operational frameworks necessary to obtain and maintain these designations, are critical to DSFederal’s continued growth and commitment to outstanding service to our customers. We are pleased to note that DSFederal passed the initial ISO audit on February 14, a first step toward re-certifying our three-year ISO 9001:2015 quality designation. Process owners and managers spent many hours preparing for and participating in the audit, conducted over a three-day period in February. Special recognition is due to IT Support Supervisor James Donovan, HR Director Celia de la Torre, Contracts Manager Maggie Lin, Finance Manager Jing Chen, Business Analyst Matt Donovan, Director of PMO Programs Angela Alexander, Senior Recruiter Leigh Kelley, and Director of Enterprise IT Solutions Prakash Thiagarajan for their hard work and dedication to the audit effort.
With a successful ISO audit complete, DSFederal is moving forward to re-certify our CMMI DEV ML3 appraisal, and to add the CMMI SVC ML3 designation. With the assistance of Chantilly-based Kreative Corporation, Operations Manager Grant Cheung will lead the CMMI appraisal effort for DSFederal. The official CMMI kickoff is scheduled for March 5. CEO Sophia Parker writes, “Continuous improvement is integral to our corporate culture, and key to our ongoing success. We look forward to the re-appraisal and audit process, which presents an excellent opportunity to scrutinize our internal practices and strengthen our dedication to quality at every level of the company.”
