Dr. Pi serves as the Chief Medical Officer for DSFederal, leveraging a rich background in clinical medicine, information technology, cybersecurity, project management, and healthcare administration. He is known for his unique ability to integrate people, processes, and technology together into transformative solutions via innovation, automation, collaboration, and interoperability. With more than 30 years in diverse clinical fields such as emergency medicine, telemedicine, and preventive medicine, Dr. Pi has held pivotal roles like Emergency Department Medical Director, Chief of Staff for a critical access hospital, and Medical Director for the FBI Tactical Medical Program. Additionally, he is a Professor at George Washington University and teaches emergency medicine at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
Dr. Pi is an expert in healthcare information technology and cybersecurity. He is a certified Project Management Professional by PMI. As the Chief Medical Officer for DSFederal, he managed over 35 federal healthcare IT contracts to assure quality and mission success for the clients at HHS, HRSA, CMS, NIH, CDC, FDA, and DoD. His project management methodologies ranged from waterfall to advanced Lean-and-Agile frameworks. He personally inspired, coached, and developed many young professionals and established a corporate solutions team and PMO to achieve operational excellence and quality.
Dr. Pi is also renowned for his cybersecurity expertise, particularly in national-security cyber intrusion investigations. Previously serving as Unit Chief for the FBI Cyber Division, he played a crucial role in counteracting international threats and was involved in the International Cyber Threat Task Force. His impressive career also includes 20 years as an FBI Supervisory Special Agent focused on healthcare fraud and extensive operational experience in EMS, SWAT, HAZMAT, critical incident command, and disaster response.
