Niranjana Kowlessar is the Vice President of Mission Programs for DSFederal. In her role, she oversees the execution of all public health contracts and client engagements in addition to driving capture strategy for her business unit. Dr. Kowlessar brings close to 15 years of experience managing diverse teams and leading initiatives that include strategic planning, priority setting, partner outreach, and technical solution development.
Prior to DSFederal, Dr. Kowlessar served as a senior researcher at Econometrica Inc., and Social & Scientific Systems, Inc., successfully managing projects for clients that included the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), and the Maryland Health Care Commission (MHCC). She is a trained health services researcher whose expertise includes program evaluation and policy analysis.
Dr. Kowlessar attended the University of Illinois where she earned a Ph.D. in Health Policy and Administration and a M.A. in Economics. She also graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Knox College.
