Following a recent ISO audit, DSFederal attained a three-year recertification, renewing its ISO 9001:2015 designation until 2022. As described by the International Standards Organization, the ISO 9001:2015 standard “is based on a number of quality management principles, including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach, and continual improvement.” ISO certification is widely respected as an indicator of organizational commitment to the highest standards for quality.
DSFederal, with its second successful ISO recertification as well as its CMMI DEV 3 rating, takes its place among a select group of small contracting companies that are recognized for their quality management processes. Project Manager Grant Cheung, who led the ISO recertification and internal audit effort, writes “The ISO certification process is demanding and rigorous, but we embraced it as an opportunity to examine our processes and re-affirm our commitment to quality at every level of the company.” Grant praises DSFederal’s entire ISO audit committee, including HR Director Celia de la Torre, Finance Manager Jing Chen, Contracts Manager Maggie Lin, Business Analyst Matt Donovan, Director of PMO Programs Angela Alexander, Senior Recruiter Leigh Anne Kelley, and Director of Enterprise IT Solutions Thiagarajan Prakash, and IT Support Supervisor James Donovan (DSFederal’s in-house ISO expert).
CEO Sophia Parker agrees. She writes, “Our quality approach is based on commitment to flawless execution and continuous improvement, and this highly respected credential demonstrates this commitment.”
