Congratulations are in order for Next Generation IT Services' (NGITS') Independent Verification and Validation Tester (IV&V), Anjum Rommel, who just successfully completed her Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
According to Anjum, scrum is “a hot subject! It’s a process framework for developing, delivering. and sustaining complex products.” The designation of Scrum Master means Anjum is responsible for supporting the Scrum Team, and this certification will aid her in a deep understanding of project framework, process, and technique.
Obtaining this important certification required sixteen hours of class work, two weeks of study, and an intensive one-hour exam. Anjum says an earlier reading of the Scrum guide sparked her curiosity and made her wonder: What is the benefit of doing the CSM certification for a tester?
"As a tester, I do not have a specified role in the Scrum Team, but having completed the certification, I [now] have a lot to offer myself and my team," said Anjum. "Scrum breaks down the walls existing between different groups and makes them work together as one team with one goal.”
But Anjum doesn’t plan to stop there. This achiever says she’s ready to learn and earn some more-- particularly, the Product Owner, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Beginner, and Solution Architect certifications.
Thanks, Anjum, for your hard work and inspiring example!
