DSFederal Project Manager leads Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week drive supporting Bethesda Car

Updated: Jan 8, 2020

DSFederal's NIH Training Center Project Manager Keturah Dubar is leading a company-wide effort to collect personal care and clothing items for Bethesda Cares in recognition of national Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (November 10 - 18).

With services focused on preventing, easing, and ending homelessness, Bethesda Cares offers a wide range of services and support for its clients, including food assistance, clothing and personal items, mental health counseling, prescription assistance, job placement, and help with the transition from shelter to independent living. Keturah volunteers with many different community organizations, and the work of Bethesda Cares is especially close to her heart. She writes:

"I'm very fortunate to have more than I need, and I consider it both an honor and an obligation to try to help those who are struggling. Many of the people that Bethesda Cares helps are temporarily down on their luck, and it's very inspiring to think that a small donation, or a few hours' worth of my time, might make a difference for them. I hope that this small effort will brighten the holidays for a few families in need."

Keturah will coordinate a collection of personal hygiene and clothing items, and will lead a volunteer contingent on November 12 (Veterans' Day).. Contact us to learn how you can help.
