Angela Alexander Promoted to Vice President of Administrative Support

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Angela Alexander to Vice President of Administrative Support. Angela has been with DSFederal since 2013, working in various roles, most recently as Program Manager of the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) project where she managed more than 40 team members. In her new role, she will be responsible for Human Resources, Contracting, Corporate IT and Training, and working with department directors to strengthen processes as well as continuing to oversee USAMRIID, Office of Extramural Research (OER) and other projects.


“She [Angela] is unwavering. She's not disturbed by the storm. She cuts through the waves and delivers you to the safe harbor.  She's a steady ship and we're so proud to have her on the team," CEO Sophia Parker said.


Angela is a graduate of Fort Valley State and earned an MBA from Brenau University in 2007. She joined the U.S. Navy as a college student and entered Officer Candidate School at the Newport, RI Officer Training Command following graduation. While in uniform, Angela served as Deputy Director of Contracting responsible for oversight, leadership and transition at the Joint Task Force National Capital Region (JTF CAPMED) for the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and Fort Belvoir Community Hospital. She retired from the Navy in 2012 as a Commander after over 20 years of service. Recently she was part of the team that spearheaded DSFederal’s Project Management Office (PMO).
