DSFederal Introduces Inaugural Board of Advisors

ROCKVILLE, MD -- DSFederal today announced its inaugural Board of Advisors to help guide the company in breaking new grounds in federal health IT solutions. These advisors will leverage their collective expertise to provide guidance and direction to the DSFederal leadership team through the company’s continued growth and development in connecting the dots between data, organizations, and outcomes through leading-edge capabilities in data analytics, training, and process improvement for federal clients.

The DSFederal Board of Advisors is composed of Kevin Beverly, Mike Atassi, and Robert Rubin.

Kevin Beverly

Mr. Kevin Beverly will serve as Chairman of the Advisory Board, where he will draw on experience in the federal health IT sector and prior board designations, including advisor on the CareFirst of Maryland, Inc. (CFMI) Board, Vice Chair on the Executive Committee of the Board of Advisors for the University of Shady Grove (USG), advisor on the Board of the Professional Services Council (PSC), and advisor to Children’s Opportunity Fund in Montgomery County, Maryland at the pleasure of the County Executive.

Mr. Beverly is the former President and CEO of Social & Scientific Systems (SSS) and Executive Officer of DLH Corporation (NASDAQ:DLHC). His strength and experience in leadership, strategy, operations, project management, and sales and marketing greatly contributed to the company’s growth and success. Prior, Mr. Beverly served in leadership, strategy, and sales positions at Abt Associates, BAE Systems Corporation, Computer Sciences Corporation, PSI International, the National Library of Medicine and the World Health Organization.

Mr. Beverly is a 2017 inductee into the Montgomery County Business Hall of Fame and a 2019 recipient of the World Trade Center Institute’s International Business Leadership Award.

Mike Atassi

Mr. Mike Atassi is a senior health information technology and management leader with more than 30 years of experience supporting federal agencies and Fortune 500 companies, delivering enterprise systems, and deploying strategic client solutions. He has leading expertise in federal shared services, federal grants management systems, biomedical data repositories, Big Data, data analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Previously, Mr. Atassi supported the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other civilian federal agencies. His positions included Specialist Leader, Cognitive Insights and Mission Analytics at Deloitte Consulting; Vice President of Government Solutions at Dovel Technologies; Director of Biomedical Sciences and Analytics at Cognosante; Senior Program Manager at Northrop Grumman, and principal consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

In addition to his experience in biomedical sciences, Mr. Atassi has decades of parallel experience in management consulting working with executive teams across the federal government and Fortune 100 companies to build executable strategy that combines leading practices, industry knowledge, rigorous analysis, and insight to enable innovations and business growth.

Robert Rubin

Mr. Robert Rubin is an experienced professional in corporate development and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). He served in Sterling Drug, Inc. as Director of Corporate Development. Pior, Mr. Rubin was Director of Corporate Development at Revlon, Inc. where he directed the company’s diversification from its core beauty

business into the healthcare business. Additionally, he served in Citibank, where as a Vice President he managed all phases of a $500 million loan portfolio.

Since transitioning to the B2G sector, Mr. Rubin is a senior leader in M&A and other investment banking services for the technology arena, with a focus on companies involved in government contracting.
